Days 5 & 6!

Hi everyone,

I've now been cycling for 6 days and have made good headway into the journey so far! After leaving Wadworth, I took country roads down and through another village called Tickhill. I'm really enjoying all these cutely named villages and places!

Country roads, take me to Paris!

I passed along with A60 through Oldcotes, Langold and Carlton in Lindrick on the way down to Worksop.

I made it to Worksop!
I found a cute little restaurant called 'The Olive Grove' to eat at. Lots of really good food here but I settled on the tapas menu: patatas bravas, chorizo & potatoes & paprika chicken skewers. Devils chocolate food cake was a certain for dessert.

Just south of Worksop is Clumber Park, a National Trust property. It's a lovely place for a walk around and it was great to stop here for a while.

Fun at Clumber Park
There were lots of cycle paths through parkland and woodland - all the way down to Sherwood Forest! It's a really lovely area of the country & I'm glad to live within driving distance of it. Safe to say, next time I come through, it'll be in a car! The cycle paths are great though - reminds me of cycling through Thetford Forest back home-home.

Cycle Paths galore!
I'm now 125km into my journey and I've been cycling for about 7 hours! I just hope I can keep up the good progress!

Stay home & stay safe,

Katherine
